Readers

Readers pay nothing, ever. There is no subscription, no pay-per-view and no registration requirement for any article in any of our journals.

Authors

OAIFR is committed to complete financial transparency in full compliance with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Every journal published by OAIFR clearly states its exact publishing fees—or the absence thereof—directly on its individual journal homepage. There are no hidden fees, submission fees, or unexpected charges at any point in the publishing process.

Where a journal in the portfolio does levy an article processing charge, the following applies:

• The amount is published on that journal’s site before submission. Authors are never presented with a charge they were not told about.
• The charge falls due only after acceptance. Nothing is payable to submit, and nothing is payable if the manuscript is rejected.
• The charge covers copy-editing, typesetting, DOI registration, hosting and preservation.
• There is no page charge, no colour charge and no charge for supplementary material.

Submission fees

We do not charge submission fees.

What a charge does not buy

Payment plays no part in the editorial decision. Editors are not told whether a fee has been paid or waived while a manuscript is under assessment, and no journal in the portfolio offers paid fast-tracking, paid acceptance, or paid placement. Anyone offering to sell authorship, acceptance or citation in one of our journals is acting fraudulently and should be reported to the publishing office.

Waivers

OAIFR is committed to eliminating financial barriers in open access publishing and ensuring equitable opportunities for authors worldwide, strictly in compliance with criteria established by DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed (NLM/COPE standards).

Requests are considered on the author’s circumstances, not on the perceived importance of the paper, and the decision is made separately from the editorial assessment.

Withdrawal charges

We do not charge authors for withdrawing a manuscript before acceptance.

Invoicing and refunds

Invoices are issued by Open Access Institute For Research (Pvt) Ltd. after acceptance. Retraction for author misconduct does not attract a refund.

Beware of impersonation

Payment requests come only from our own domains and are only ever issued after a formal acceptance letter from the journal. If you receive a request that looks irregular, do not pay it — forward it to the publishing office and we will confirm whether it came from us.
