Indexing and abstracting

Where our journals are listed, where applications are pending, and what we will not claim.

What we claim

We list only databases and services in which a journal is currently included, and we distinguish clearly between inclusion and a pending application. Where a journal has applied and not yet been accepted, we say “application submitted” and give the date.

Our journals are progressively expanding their visibility through recognized scholarly databases, indexing services, abstracting platforms, and persistent identifier systems. The current indexing and abstracting status of each journal is presented separately below and should be maintained as a live record, distinguishing confirmed inclusions from applications or pending evaluations.

Overstating indexing is the most common form of misrepresentation in this field, it is easy for an assessor to check, and it costs a journal its credibility permanently.

Current status

Pakistan Journal of Clinical Research (PJCR)
Pakistan Journal of Clinical Research is currently listed in PASTIC – Pakistan Science Abstracts (PSA), Google Scholar, BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), OpenAlex, and Scilit. The journal is also recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, in Y Category for 2026–2027. PJCR is registered with the ISSN Portal. Any additional indexing or abstracting applications should be reported separately with the date of submission and their current status rather than being presented as confirmed indexing.

Journal of Social Science Perspectives (JSSP)
Journal of Social Science Perspectives is currently included in Google Scholar, Crossref, BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), OpenAlex, and Scilit. Crossref provides DOI registration and persistent identification for the journal’s published articles. Applications to additional indexing and abstracting databases should be listed separately with their respective submission dates and current evaluation status.

Metrics

Where a journal has a metric from a recognised source — a Scopus CiteScore, a Clarivate Journal Impact Factor, an SJR — it is quoted with the source and the year. Journals without such a metric say nothing rather than quoting a substitute.

What we do to support indexing

Every journal maintains the record that indexing bodies check:

ISSNs registered for print and online, displayed on the journal site.
Crossref DOIs on every article, with complete metadata deposited.
English titles, abstracts and keywords on every article.
A named, verifiable editorial board with affiliations and countries.
Complete, published policies — peer review, ethics, licensing, charges, corrections, archiving.
Licence and copyright statements on the article itself, not only in a policy page.
Regular, timely publication to a stated schedule.
OAI-PMH endpoints for harvesting.

Applying on behalf of other publishers

We prepare indexing applications as a service for journals we host. See [Services](/services). We do not promise inclusion, because no publisher can — the decision rests entirely with the indexing body.

If you find an inaccurate claim

If you see a claim on any of our sites that you believe is inaccurate, tell the publishing office. We would rather correct it than defend it.
