About us

The Open Access Institute for Research publishes peer-reviewed journals across medicine, the social sciences and applied research. We were founded to give research from under-represented regions a route to publication that meets international standards without an author paying for visibility.

All of our journals are fully open access. Authors retain copyright under a CC BY 4.0 licence, and there is no embargo period and no subscription barrier for readers.

Editorial decisions rest entirely with each journal’s board. The publisher provides infrastructure, indexing support and production, and takes no part in acceptance decisions.
